The Cortina Mark II was introduced to the market in 1967 and became an instant success, becoming UK’s number 1 selling car. This being due to good performance from the 1300 and 1600cc with the new cross flow cylinder head design.  They also handled well and the styling was praised at the time. The Cortina has become a renowned model for its time due to being such a success.

This 3 owner car has had a restore in the past and was used daily. The front panels were repainted due to stone chipping. The colour match is off over the front of the car so would need attention to complete the car.  Interior is original and in very good shape for its age. It has been fitted a 5 speed Toyota Cressida gearbox which was a common upgrade in South-Africa due to having gear ratios for improved economy and performance at the same time, not to mention a bullet proof box. The car is legally road worthy and a pleasure to drive. No signs of rust and mechanically sound. The Cortina is a rare sight these days, especially in this overall original condition.
